KELLIE MARTIN

I was flicking through the channels on the TV one day, trying to find something decent to watch. As I am in the minority here in the UK and have satellite TV , I have a greater number of channels to choose from then most. Anyway, I stumbled across a film being shown on Sky Movies. This film was Death of a Cheerleader. I watched it for about two minutes but I just dismissed it as another film about an American High School. So I carried on flicking on through the channels. Eventually I flicked my way through all the channels and so I ended back at Sky Movies. By this time the film had moved on to the court room scenes and there was little Kellie performing some of the best acting I have seen in a long while. I only watched the last five minutes of the film but this was enough for me. I looked through my TV listing guide to see if the film was going to be on again. On satellite TV here in the UK they will show a film about 4 or 5 times a over a 3-4 month period and sure enough the film was going to be re shown early the next month. I watch it from the start second time around. I could see that it was a lot more the 'just another film about an American High School' and I thought Kellie was superb. I must find out more about her but she is completely unheard of here in the UK. I checked in TV actress listing guides in bookshops and libraries and in Film guides but I did not find a single mention of her. I came to the conclusion the this was her only film. Then the next month another Satellite channel UK Living showed the film The Face on the Milk Carton. Well she's made at least two films I thought. In a vaine hope of finding a mention of her, I logged onto the net and searched for information on Kellie Martin. I thought that perhaps her agent or a film buff might have something on her to try and promote her career. I was shocked with the amount of information that there is about her on the net. She appears to be a big star in America with TV series, appearances on chat shows and the like. So I am not just going to repeat the information on those web site. I am just going to give you a few links to what I think are the best Kellie Martin sites I have found so far.

Personal Information

She was born on the 16th October 1975 in Riversdale, California. She is 5' 3 1/2" and is current studying for an Arts degree at Yale University.
